Knowledge Base - Which Bria App do I need on my mobile phone?

Bria makes several different apps which are currently published on the Andriod and Apple app stores. Knowing the difference can save you a lot of frustration.

Android

On Android, there are two places you may see the Bria App. When searching in the app store:

Bria Enterprise is the soft phone we recommend. With versions for Android, iOS, MacOS, and Windows, one product and one license per user provides simple setup for you. We can always issue you credentials to use with other products however we are not always able to troubleshoot those products to the same level of detail.

The differences / which to use:

Bria Enterprise. This app requires usernames which contain an @ and yet are not email addresses. Our support team configures all the essential settings. By logging into the app your account settings get configured for you. This is by far the easiest way to set up Bria and is the only way we can add the Bria software to your services with us. You will not be billed separately, and will not have any fees / expenses submitted by employees to activate the app.

Bria (Solo & Teams). The app simply labelled as "Bria" is used for Bria Solo (https://solo.softphone.com/) or Bria Teams (https://teams.softphone.com/). This version is intended to be self administered. Accounts are set up and paid for online through the Bria website. Solo is intended for a single person . Configuration changes are edited through this same portal. To update the client on a mobile device, you log off and on using a username / password associated with the account you are editing. Our support team can provide the essential information (username, password, proxy and port) however as the user can edit settings on the website themselves we may be restricted in what support we can offer if default settings have been changed. Purchase of the software (monthly) is completed through the online portal linked above.

Bria Mobile (light orange logo, up and down arrows) has been scheduled for end of life / retirement. Our understanding is that new subscriptions are not being sold, however if you have an old license you might be able to use this software. It will age however and may not work as well as newer software. Purchase of this software is done through the app store - not through us.
